The SGS 32584 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built to Series 55CR specifications, it features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and five helical flutes with a 45-degree helix angle for improved chip evacuation and surface finish. The Ti-NAMITE-A AlTiN coating delivers elevated heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. With a 1-5/8 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length, this end mill is suited for roughing and finishing operations. A Weldon flat shank with h6 shank diameter tolerance ensures secure, concentric seating in end mill holders.
The SGS 32584 is designed for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, as well as hard secondary workpiece materials. Its variable index geometry reduces harmonic chatter during aggressive cuts, making it appropriate for both roughing passes and finish work in job shop and production environments. Machinists working with high-temp alloys and hardened steels will benefit from the AlTiN coating durability. The tool is single-end and right-hand cutting with right-hand flute direction.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium (ISO material codes P, M, K, S); secondary application includes hard materials (ISO code H).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Secure the Weldon flat shank firmly in a compatible end mill holder before operation, ensuring the set screw engages the flat to prevent pull-out under load. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut before engaging the tool. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use; do not run a chipped or damaged tool.
