It features a 5-degree taper angle per side and a 0.25-inch small end diameter with a 1/8-inch nose radius, making it well-suited for finishing passes in tight-radius pockets and sloped wall features. The three-flute spiral design with a 28-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining surface finish quality. The uncoated micrograin carbide construction provides edge sharpness and rigidity for demanding cutting conditions. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shop, aerospace, die and mold, and general precision machining environments.
The SGS 32438 is used in CNC machining centers for milling contoured profiles, tapered walls, and 3D surface finishing operations. Its 1.25-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length allow reach into moderate-depth cavities while maintaining rigidity. The 0.5-inch shank diameter provides solid tool holding engagement in standard end mill holders and collet chucks. This tool is centercutting, enabling direct plunge entry into workpiece material.
