The SGS 32323 is a solid carbide tapered end mill designed for precision milling operations where a controlled taper angle and tight tolerances are required. With a 5-degree taper per side, a 1/8-inch small end diameter, and a 1-1/2-inch length of cut, this tool delivers accurate taper geometry in a single pass. The 3-flute spiral design with a 28-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for demanding material removal across a range of workpiece materials. This tool is installed and operated by machinist and tooling professionals in CNC milling environments.
The SGS 32323 is suited for milling tapered slots, draft angles, and contoured profiles in materials including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous alloys, titanium, and high-temperature alloys, corresponding to primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The 3/8-inch shank diameter and 3-1/2-inch overall length make this tool compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders used in vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers. The uncoated finish is appropriate for applications where coolant is used or where coating interactions with specific workpiece materials must be avoided.
Compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer. Designed for use in standard CNC milling setups with collet or end mill holder tooling accepting a 3/8-inch shank. Part of the SGS Series 23 tapered end mill family.
Installation should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with CNC setup procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 3/8-inch shank fully in the collet or holder and torque the retention hardware according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on a small-diameter tapered tool.
