The SGS 32321 is a solid carbide tapered end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring a controlled taper profile. It features a 3-degree taper angle per side with a small end diameter of 5/32 inches (0.1560 inches decimal), a 3/8-inch shank diameter, and a length of cut of 1.75 inches. The three-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 28-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting performance. The uncoated micrograin carbide construction is suited for demanding applications across a range of workpiece materials. This tool is typically installed and operated by machinists and tooling technicians in CNC and manual milling setups.
The SGS 32321 is intended for use in applications where a tapered wall profile is required, such as mold and die work, contour milling, and finishing of draft-angle surfaces. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry into the workpiece. The Series 23 designation identifies it within the SGS tapered end mill product line. Compatible workpiece material codes include H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering a broad range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials as classified by the manufacturer. The 3-1/2-inch overall length provides adequate reach for moderate-depth cavities.
Compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S per manufacturer classification. Designed as an OEM-specification tapered end mill suitable for standard CNC and manual milling machine tool holders accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe state before changing tooling. Secure the shank in a collet or end mill holder rated for the 3/8-inch shank diameter and verify runout before beginning a cut. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting speeds, feeds, and depth of cut.
