The SGS 32039 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in non-ferrous metal applications. With a 0.375 inch mill diameter, a 2.5 inch length of cut, and a 4.25 inch overall length, this tool delivers consistent material removal in demanding machining environments. The 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. With two flutes and a spiral flute geometry, it is suited for applications requiring fine surface finishes and accurate dimensional control. Machinists and toolroom operators working with aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous materials are the primary users of this end mill.
The SGS 32039 is intended for use in CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and toolroom mills where non-ferrous metals are the primary workpiece material. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, enabling slot milling, pocket milling, and profiling operations without a pre-drilled entry point. The straight cylindrical shank with a 0.375 inch diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and similar toolholding systems used in production and job shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for 0.375 inch straight-cylindrical shank toolholders used in CNC and manual milling machines operating on non-ferrous metal workpieces. SGS Series 44 designation applies.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer torque and runout specifications for the toolholding system in use. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before installing or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended grip length before tightening. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cutting operations.
