The SGS 30525 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 13/64 inch (0.2031 inch) cutting diameter, a 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. The three-flute spiral geometry delivers a balance between chip evacuation and surface finish quality. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this end mill holds tight tolerances and resists wear in demanding cutting conditions. It is uncoated and intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC or manual milling equipment.
This end mill suits a broad range of material types, including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and steel. The SGS Series 5 designation covers regular-length end mills optimized for general-purpose milling tasks. The 2-1/2 inch overall length fits standard toolholders commonly found in vertical and horizontal milling setups in production shops and job shops alike. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill compatible with standard 1/4 inch collets and milling toolholders. Suitable for primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with end mill toolholding procedures. Ensure the milling machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, and confirm the workpiece is properly fixtured to prevent movement during machining.
