The SGS 30511 is a 3-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of metalworking applications. With a 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch) mill diameter and a 9/32 inch (0.2813 inch) length of cut, this single-end tool delivers accurate material removal in tight spaces and small-feature work. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for consistent performance across ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. A 30-degree helix angle and right-hand cutting and flute direction are standard on this Series 5 tool. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well suited for applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern.
The SGS 30511 is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter tooling is required. It is applicable to workpiece material categories including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, heat-resistant superalloys, steel, and titanium alloys, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collets and tool holders in that size range. With a 1-1/2 inch overall length and a regular length-of-cut range classification, this end mill is a practical choice for general-purpose small-diameter milling work performed by machinists and toolroom technicians.
Compatible with workpiece material categories H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer. Fits standard 1/8 inch collets and tool holders with a straight-cylindrical shank interface.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Ensure the collet or tool holder is clean and within manufacturer runout tolerances before seating the shank, as micrograin carbide is brittle and sensitive to uneven clamping forces. Confirm spindle speed and feed rates are appropriate for the workpiece material and 3/32 inch diameter before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the rated length of cut or apply side loads beyond the tool geometry specification.
