The SGS 30444 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch) cutting diameter, a 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. The cutting geometry is a two-flute, right-hand spiral with a 30-degree helix angle and an AlTiN coating for heat resistance and extended tool life. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry into the workpiece. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC and manual milling operations.
The SGS 30444 is suited for milling a broad range of workpiece materials including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, aluminum alloys, and high-temperature alloys, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S.
