The SGS 30365 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision metal removal in milling operations. Built from micrograin carbide, it delivers tight tolerances and edge retention across a range of workpiece materials. The 30365 features a 9/16 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/8 inch length of cut, and a 3-1/2 inch overall length. With two flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, it balances chip evacuation with surface finish. It is a centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry are standard on this series. Machinists and tooling specialists install this end mill in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
The SGS 30365 is suited for milling operations across a broad set of workpiece materials, including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, stainless steel, heat-resistant alloys, and titanium, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. It is a Series 3 regular-length tool with a straight-cylindrical shank, making it compatible with standard collets, end mill holders, and hydraulic chucks in both horizontal and vertical milling setups. The uncoated finish makes it appropriate for applications where coating interaction with the workpiece or cutting fluid is a concern.
The SGS 30365 is compatible with workpiece materials coded H, K, M, N, P, and S, which include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, stainless steel, heat-resistant alloys, and titanium. It fits any holder or collet sized for a 9/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
This tool is installed by machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify collet or holder runout before securing the shank to maintain tolerance on the mill diameter. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for feed rate and spindle speed based on workpiece material and depth of cut.
