The SGS 30335 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 9/32 inch (0.2813 inch) cutting diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 5/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this two-flute tool delivers consistent performance in demanding cutting environments. The right-hand cut, right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the centercutting design allows for plunge entry. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this end mill for slotting, profiling, and light pocketing operations.
This end mill is suited for milling a broad range of workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, titanium alloys, and high-temperature alloys, consistent with the material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Its regular length classification and 2-1/2 inch overall length make it well-matched to vertical machining centers, knee mills, and CNC milling setups where compact tooling with controlled reach is required. The uncoated micrograin carbide substrate is appropriate for applications where coatings are not specified or where regrinding is planned.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC and manual milling machines that accept a 5/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank end mill. Compatible with workpiece materials in material code classifications H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the control placed in an appropriate lockout state before changing tooling. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for the 5/16 inch shank diameter to ensure runout is minimized. Verify tool projection and stick-out against the programmed depth of cut before commencing any cutting operation.
