The SGS 30165 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in CNC milling and manual machining operations. With a 9/16 inch cutting diameter, 4 flutes, and a 30-degree helix angle, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and a quality surface finish across a range of workpiece materials. The micrograin carbide construction provides the edge retention and rigidity required for demanding cutting conditions. This is a centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling. It is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, cast iron, stainless steel, titanium alloys, nickel-based alloys, and non-metallic materials, corresponding to ISO material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The regular length designation and 1-1/8 inch length of cut make it appropriate for standard-depth slotting, profiling, and contouring applications. The 9/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders of that bore size.
Compatible with workpiece materials in ISO categories H, K, M, N, P, and S, including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, non-metallic materials, steel, and high-temperature alloys. Fits any tool holder or collet accepting a 9/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and runout tolerances. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Confirm shank engagement depth meets the tool holder minimum grip specification before operation. Select feeds, speeds, and depth of cut according to the workpiece material, machine rigidity, and toolpath strategy.
