The SGS 30141 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations across a range of workpiece materials. Built from micrograin carbide, it delivers the hardness and edge retention required for demanding cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and cast materials. The four-flute configuration with a 30-degree helix angle provides a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. This is a centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling. Shank diameter is 0.375 inches and overall length is 2.5 inches, making it suited for standard toolholders in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is intended for use in machine shop environments where close-tolerance milling of ferrous alloys, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and similar materials is required. Primary workpiece material codes listed include H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering high-temperature alloys, cast iron, stainless, non-ferrous, steel, and special materials. The regular-length geometry and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard ER collets, milling chucks, and hydraulic toolholders. It is a single-end tool intended for machine tool use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
Designed for use with straight cylindrical toolholders including ER collet chucks, hydraulic chucks, and milling chucks accepting a 0.375-inch shank diameter. Rated for workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual milling equipment. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe-stop state before installing or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Verify toolholder runout is within acceptable limits before beginning cuts, as excess runout will accelerate edge wear and reduce dimensional accuracy. Always consult the applicable speeds-and-feeds data for the specific workpiece material before engaging the cut.
