The SGS 30113 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of metalworking and machining applications. It features a 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch) cutting diameter with a 3/8 inch length of cut and a 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank. With 4 flutes, a 30-degree helix angle, and a variable index geometry, this end mill is built to deliver accurate material removal and improved surface finish. The micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and wear resistance required for consistent performance in production environments. It is a single-end, right-hand cutting tool with right-hand spiral flutes and no chipbreaker.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where small-diameter precision cutting is required. Its regular length profile and bright uncoated finish make it a practical choice for general-purpose milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 30-degree helix angle supports chip evacuation in materials including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous alloys, high-temperature alloys, and plastics, corresponding to workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. It is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry when required.
Designed for use in standard collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 1/8 inch straight shank. Compatible with workpiece material categories H, K, M, N, P, and S as designated in the input specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a small-diameter carbide tool.
