The SGS 30026 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations across a broad range of workpiece materials. Built on SGS Series 1 geometry, it features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length with a 3/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. The micrograin carbide substrate supports an AlTiN coating, which extends tool life in demanding cutting environments. With four flutes, a 30-degree helix angle, and a variable index configuration, this end mill balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and runs right-hand cut with right-hand flute geometry.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys as indicated by its primary workpiece material codes. It fits standard CNC machining centers and manual knee mills equipped with an ER or similar collet system accepting a 3/4 inch shank. Regular-length geometry makes it a practical choice for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling where rigidity and runout control are priorities. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the workpiece. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling.
