The SGS 07387 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precise, clean-hole drilling in printed circuit boards and similar substrates. Built to Series 105 standards, this bit features a 2.8 mm (0.1102 inch) diameter and a 130-degree four-facet point that reduces walking and delivers accurate entry on hard, abrasive materials. The uncoated solid carbide construction provides the rigidity and wear resistance required for high-speed, small-diameter drilling. With a 1/8-inch (3.18 mm) shank and a 1.5-inch overall length, it is suited for use in CNC drilling machines and precision drill presses. Electronics assembly technicians and fabrication shops are the primary users.
This drill bit is intended for drilling circuit boards, laminates, and other non-ferrous or composite workpieces where dimensional accuracy and hole quality are critical. The heavy-duty grade carbide and tapered web configuration support demanding production drilling environments. It is also rated for use in alloy steels, titanium, and nonferrous materials per ISO workpiece material codes K, M, N, P, and S, making it a versatile option for mixed-material shops.
Designed for use in CNC PCB drilling machines and precision drill presses that accept a 1/8-inch (3.18 mm) shank. Rated for workpiece materials per ISO codes K, M, N, P, and S, including circuit board laminates, nonferrous materials, alloy steels, and titanium alloys.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machining or electronics fabrication personnel familiar with CNC drilling equipment. Ensure the spindle and work-holding fixture are secure and properly aligned before initiating a drill cycle. Use appropriate spindle speeds and feed rates for carbide tooling in the workpiece material — consult tooling charts for small-diameter carbide bits to avoid breakage. Do not use this bit in hand-held rotary tools where runout cannot be controlled.
