The SGS 07376 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board fabrication and close-tolerance machining applications. Sized at wire gauge 39 (0.0995 inches / 2.53 mm), this two-flute bit features a 130-degree four-facet point geometry that reduces walking and improves hole-entry accuracy on hard and brittle substrates. The 1/8-inch (0.125-inch) shank and 1.5-inch overall length make it compatible with standard CNC drill spindles and precision benchtop drill presses. It is uncoated and runs right-hand cut with a regular spiral and 30-degree helix angle. Machinists, PCB fabricators, and tool-room technicians are the typical users.
The SGS 07376 is suited for drilling aluminum, cast iron, copper alloy, cobalt alloy, stainless steel, titanium, nickel, plastics, and fiber-reinforced polymers. The four-facet point and tapered web configuration support clean entry and chip evacuation in both metallic and composite materials. With a flute length of 0.400 inches (10.16 mm) and a tight diameter tolerance of -0.0003 to +0.0000 inches, this bit is appropriate for applications where hole-location accuracy and diameter consistency are critical, including PCB drilling, small-part production, and precision prototype work.
Designed as an OEM-style precision drill bit for use in CNC PCB drilling machines, precision drill presses, and toolroom equipment accepting a 1/8-inch shank. Suitable for workpiece materials including aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium per SGS Series 105 material application designations K, M, N, P, and S.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or PCB fabrication technicians familiar with high-speed carbide tooling. Ensure the drill spindle is fully stopped and the machine is de-energized or e-stopped before changing bits. Carbide bits are brittle - avoid side-loading, prying, or over-clamping the shank, as this can cause fracture. Follow machine manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for the specific workpiece material; carbide tooling requires appropriate RPM to avoid premature edge wear or chipping.
