The SGS 07372 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board fabrication and small-diameter through-hole applications. Built to wire gauge size No. 41, it has a decimal diameter of 0.0960 inches (2.44 mm) and an overall length of 1.5 inches. The 130-degree four-facet point geometry produces a clean entry with minimal thrust force and reduced walking on hard or layered materials. The uncoated solid carbide construction maintains dimensional accuracy across a wide range of workpiece materials. A licensed machinist or electronics fabrication technician typically runs this bit in CNC drilling equipment or precision drill presses.
This drill bit is suited for drilling circuit boards, composite laminates, and precision small-hole applications in both production and prototype environments. The regular right-hand spiral with a 30-degree helix angle supports efficient chip evacuation in shallow, high-speed passes. This bit is installed by a machinist or PCB fabrication technician in a collet or chuck rated for the 0.125-inch shank diameter. Confirm spindle runout is within tolerance before use - solid carbide is rigid and sensitive to lateral load. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing bits. Do not use in hand-held drilling applications; the small diameter and carbide construction require a rigid machine setup to prevent breakage.
