The SGS 07348 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit boards and other tight-tolerance applications. It carries a wire gauge size of No. 50, with a decimal diameter of 0.0700 inches (1.78 mm), and features a 130-degree four-facet point geometry that reduces walking and improves entry accuracy on hard or layered materials. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers rigidity and edge retention well beyond what high-speed steel can offer. With a regular spiral, 30-degree helix angle, and tapered web configuration, this bit evacuates chips efficiently while maintaining hole quality in demanding materials. It is typically installed by machinists, PCB fabricators, and precision shop technicians.
This bit is suited for drilling aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloys, copper alloys, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium. It is well-matched to close-tolerance work in both prototype and production PCB environments, as well as precision machining operations where a 1/8-inch shank and compact 1.5-inch overall length are required. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and CNC spindle use.

This bit is intended for use by machinists and PCB fabrication technicians operating drill presses, CNC drilling machines, or precision hand-held drilling equipment. Secure the 1/8-inch shank firmly in the collet or chuck before use and verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits for the application. Solid carbide is brittle compared to high-speed steel - avoid side loading, interrupted cuts at high feed rates, or dropping the bit. Inspect the cutting edge for chipping before each use.
