The SGS 07339 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit boards and a wide range of engineered materials. It carries a wire gauge size of 53, equal to 0.0595 inches (1.51 mm) in diameter, and features a 130-degree four-facet point that reduces walking and produces clean entry holes with minimal burring. The 1/8-inch shank measures 0.125 inches in diameter, and the overall length is 1.5 inches. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers the rigidity and thermal resistance required when drilling hard substrates and composite laminates at high spindle speeds. Licensed machinists, electronics assembly technicians, and PCB fabrication shops are the primary users.
This bit is suited for drilling circuit board laminates, fiber-reinforced polymers, plastics, aluminum, copper alloys, cast iron, cobalt alloys, nickel, stainless steel, and titanium. The regular spiral geometry and 30-degree helix angle support efficient chip evacuation in both through-hole PCB work and precision machining of non-ferrous and exotic alloys. The tapered web configuration maintains core strength at small diameters. It is appropriate for both CNC drilling centers and manual precision drill presses where tight hole tolerances are required.

Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or electronics manufacturing technicians familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Secure the 1/8-inch shank firmly in a collet or drill chuck rated for the target spindle speed before operation. Carbide bits are brittle and can fracture if subjected to side-loading or excessive feed pressure, so use appropriate feeds and speeds for the workpiece material. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before each use and replace the bit at the first sign of chipping or wear.
