The SGS 07324 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit in wire gauge size 57, with a decimal diameter of 0.0430 inches (1.09 mm). It features a 130-degree four-facet point for accurate entry and reduced walking on hard or composite substrates. The 1/8-inch shank diameter measures 0.1250 inches, and the overall length is 1.5 inches. The regular spiral geometry and 30-degree helix angle support efficient chip evacuation in shallow-depth PCB and precision drilling applications. The uncoated carbide construction is suited for use by machinists, electronics fabricators, and trade technicians drilling into tight-tolerance circuit board materials.
This drill bit is designed for drilling printed circuit boards and other precision assemblies where small-diameter, high-accuracy holes are required. Compatible material applications include aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium. The tapered web configuration and two-flute design make it appropriate for production or bench drilling operations where consistent hole geometry is critical.
Compatible with aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium workpiece materials per manufacturer specification.
This bit is installed by machinists or electronics technicians using a standard drill press, CNC drilling machine, or precision hand drill with a compatible collet or chuck accepting a 1/8-inch shank. Ensure the workpiece is securely fixtured before drilling to prevent deflection on small-diameter holes. Run at appropriate spindle speeds for the workpiece material; carbide tooling requires stable, vibration-free setups to avoid chipping. Inspect the cutting edge before each use and replace if chipping or wear is visible.
