The SGS 07320 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board fabrication and similar fine-tolerance work. Ground to a No. 60 wire gauge diameter of 0.0400 inches (1.02 mm), it features a 130-degree point angle and a tapered web configuration that promotes accurate hole entry and chip evacuation. The bright, uncoated finish suits applications where coating buildup would reduce dimensional accuracy. This bit belongs to SGS Series 105 and is intended for use by machinists, PCB fabricators, and precision manufacturing technicians.
The SGS 07320 is suited for drilling a broad range of materials encountered in electronic and precision manufacturing environments, including aluminum, copper alloy, stainless steel, titanium, nickel, cobalt alloy, cast iron, plastic, and fiber-reinforced plastic. The 0.1250-inch (1/8-inch) shank diameter fits standard collets and drill chucks used in CNC drilling machines and manual spindles common to PCB and precision machining shops. Its compact 1.5-inch overall length suits close-tolerance setups where longer tooling creates runout issues.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling choice for CNC and manual drilling spindles accepting a 0.1250-inch (1/8-inch) round shank, as commonly used in PCB drilling and precision machining applications.
Installation should be performed by qualified machinists or PCB fabrication technicians familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before operation and verify runout with a dial indicator when tolerance is critical. Solid carbide bits are brittle and susceptible to breakage from side-loading or excessive feed rates - use feed and speed parameters appropriate for the workpiece material. Inspect the bit for chipping or wear before each use and replace if any damage is visible.
