The SGS 07310 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication and fine-hole machining applications. It carries a wire gauge size of 66, corresponding to a decimal diameter of 0.0330 inches (0.84 mm), and features a 130-degree four-facet point for accurate entry and reduced walking on hard or layered substrates. The 1/8-inch (0.1250 inch) shank diameter is compatible with standard PCB drilling spindles and precision drill chucks. With a regular spiral, 30-degree helix angle, and tapered web configuration, this bit is built for clean chip evacuation and consistent hole quality in demanding materials.
This drill bit is suited for use in electronics manufacturing, prototype PCB drilling, and precision machining environments where tight tolerances and small-diameter holes are required. It performs across a broad range of workpiece materials including aluminum, cast iron, copper alloy, stainless steel, titanium, cobalt alloy, nickel, plastics, and fiber-reinforced polymers. The uncoated solid carbide construction makes it appropriate for both dry and minimally lubricated drilling operations in shop or production settings. Licensed machinists, electronics fabrication technicians, and PCB assembly professionals are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
Designed as an OEM-style precision drill bit for use with standard 1/8-inch shank PCB drilling spindles and compatible precision drilling equipment. Rated for use in alloy, titanium, aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, and stainless steel workpieces per Series 105 specifications.
This bit is installed and operated by trained machinists or PCB fabrication technicians using compatible precision drill presses or CNC drilling equipment. Ensure the spindle and chuck are properly cleaned and free of runout before seating the shank. Follow equipment manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed and feed rate based on workpiece material. Inspect the bit tip for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide tooling at this diameter is brittle and sensitive to side loading.
