The SGS 07309 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board fabrication and similar fine-tolerance applications. Built to wire size 67, it carries a decimal diameter of 0.0320 inches (0.81 mm) and features a 130-degree four-facet point for accurate self-centering entry with minimal walking. The 1/8-inch (3.18 mm) shank fits standard PCB drilling chucks and high-speed spindles. With a regular spiral, two flutes, a 30-degree helix angle, and a tapered web, this bit is engineered to clear chips efficiently and hold tight tolerances in demanding production environments. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers the hardness and wear resistance required for small-diameter precision work.
This drill bit is intended for use in electronics manufacturing, PCB prototyping, and precision light-manufacturing environments. It is suited for drilling through aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium. The right-hand cut and regular spiral make it compatible with conventional CNC drilling equipment and benchtop drill presses used in electronics and trade fabrication shops. The 0.4000-inch flute length and 1.5-inch overall length are sized for shallow-depth circuit board applications.

Installation and use of this bit should be performed by qualified machinists or electronics fabrication technicians familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Secure the 1/8-inch shank firmly in a collet or drill chuck rated for the spindle speed in use before operation. Carbide tooling is brittle - avoid lateral loading, interrupted cuts without proper feed rate adjustment, and contact with hard fixtures that can cause chipping. Follow applicable workplace safety standards for rotating cutting tools when setting speeds and feeds.
