The SGS 07306 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board fabrication and small-hole machining applications. This wire gauge size 68 bit measures 0.0310 inches (0.79 mm) in diameter and features a 130-degree four facet point for accurate entry and reduced walking on hard, layered substrates. The 1.5 inch overall length and 1/8 inch shank make it compatible with standard PCB drilling spindles and small-format drill presses. A tapered web configuration and 30-degree helix angle support chip evacuation in fine-pitch drilling operations. Installed by PCB fabricators, electronics assembly technicians, and precision machinists.
This bit is suited for drilling small-diameter holes in printed circuit boards, composite laminates, and precision components requiring tight positional accuracy. The uncoated solid carbide construction performs well across a broad range of workpiece materials including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, cobalt alloys, copper alloys, nickel, cast iron, plastics, and fiber-reinforced polymers. Right-hand cut with regular spiral geometry makes it appropriate for conventional CNC drilling setups and manual high-speed drill stations used in light manufacturing and electronics production environments.
Designed for use in PCB drilling spindles, CNC machining centers, and precision drill presses accepting a 1/8 inch shank. Compatible workpiece materials include aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or electronics fabrication technicians familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Carbide bits are brittle - avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without proper feed rate adjustment, and use in hand drills where runout cannot be controlled. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify spindle runout is within acceptable tolerance for the hole diameter being drilled. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling.
