The SGS 07303 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit engineered for precision drilling in printed circuit boards and other demanding materials. It carries a wire gauge size of 70, equal to 0.0280 inches (0.71 mm) in diameter, with a 1/8-inch (0.1250 inch) shank and an overall length of 1.5 inches. The 130-degree four-facet point geometry delivers accurate, low-thrust entry with minimal wandering. A regular spiral with a 30-degree helix angle and tapered web configuration ensures efficient chip evacuation, making this bit suitable for production or repair drilling environments. Licensed electricians, electronics technicians, and precision fabricators are the typical end users.
This drill bit is designed for use in circuit board fabrication and rework applications requiring tight hole tolerances. The bright, uncoated solid carbide construction supports drilling into a broad range of workpiece materials including aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced plastic, nickel, plastic, stainless steel, and titanium. The 0.4-inch flute length and right-hand cut make it compatible with standard CNC drilling machines and precision drill presses used in electronics manufacturing and light fabrication shops.
Designed for use with standard 1/8-inch shank collets and chucks on CNC circuit board drilling machines, precision benchtop drill presses, and compatible rotary tool setups. Suitable for drilling aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced plastic, nickel, plastic, stainless steel, and titanium workpieces.
Install into a compatible 1/8-inch collet or chuck and verify runout before drilling to maintain hole positional accuracy. Secure the workpiece firmly to prevent movement during the drilling cycle. Use appropriate spindle speeds for the workpiece material and bit diameter - consult the machine manufacturer or carbide tooling guidelines for recommended RPM ranges. Handle solid carbide tooling carefully to avoid chipping the cutting edges during storage and changeover.
