The SGS 07285 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit boards and other small-diameter applications requiring tight tolerances. Sized at wire gauge 78 (0.0160 inches decimal, 0.41 mm), this bit features a 130-degree four-facet point geometry that reduces walking and improves hole entry accuracy. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed when drilling hard or abrasive materials. With a 1.5-inch overall length and a 0.125-inch (1/8-inch) shank, it is compatible with standard collet and chuck setups common in CNC drilling and precision hand operations.

Secure the 1/8-inch shank fully in the collet or chuck before operating to prevent runout. Use appropriate spindle speeds for the workpiece material and bit diameter - micro-diameter carbide bits are brittle and prone to breakage if feed rates are excessive or lateral force is applied. Ensure the workpiece is firmly fixtured to prevent movement during drilling. Inspect the cutting edge before each use; carbide bits at this diameter should be replaced rather than resharpened when worn.
