The SGS 07277 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit boards and other tight-tolerance applications. It measures 0.65 mm (0.0256 inches) in diameter with a 130-degree four-facet point and a 1-1/2 inch overall length. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers rigidity and wear resistance needed for small-diameter work in demanding materials. A 30-degree helix angle and regular spiral geometry promote chip evacuation during drilling. This bit is used by electronics technicians, precision machinists, and trade professionals working on circuit board fabrication or repair.
This drill bit is suited for drilling in aluminum, cast iron, copper alloy, stainless steel, titanium, cobalt alloy, nickel, plastics, and fiber-reinforced polymers. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets and drill chucks commonly found on CNC drilling machines, micro drill presses, and precision hand tools. Its heavy-duty grade makes it appropriate for production or repeat-use scenarios where consistent hole quality in small diameters is required.
Designed for use in CNC circuit board drilling machines, micro drill presses, and precision drilling fixtures that accept a 1/8-inch shank. Compatible workpiece materials include aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or electronics fabrication technicians familiar with small-diameter tooling. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before operation and verify runout before drilling. Power down and de-energize all equipment before changing tooling. Avoid side-loading or lateral force on the bit, as small-diameter carbide is brittle and susceptible to breakage under off-axis stress.
