The SGS 00439 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and other hard materials. Built to Series 1820 specifications, it features a 7/64-inch (0.1094 inches) cutting diameter and a stub-length profile with an 11/64-inch (0.1719 inches) length of cut. The 4-flute, right-hand cutting geometry with a 30-degree helix angle delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth finishes. Micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and wear resistance required for tight-tolerance work. This is a single-end, centercutting tool capable of plunge entry as well as peripheral milling.
This end mill is suited for light to medium material removal in CNC machining centers and manual mills where a small-diameter, short-flute tool is required. Typical applications include slotting, profiling, and pocketing in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The stub-length design minimizes deflection, making it appropriate for high-precision work at shallow depths. The straight cylindrical shank at 1/8 inch (0.1250 inches) fits standard collets and end mill holders commonly found in shop environments.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and at rest before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention hardware per the holder manufacturer's specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut.
