The SGS 00357 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metalworking applications. It features a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) cutting diameter and a 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch) length of cut, making it well suited for tight-tolerance slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in confined areas. The micrograin carbide construction delivers hardness and edge retention across demanding materials. With a 30-degree helix angle and right-hand spiral flutes, this stub-length tool provides efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting geometry. It is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC mills, manual mills, or machining centers.
This end mill is rated for use on a broad range of primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys. Its stub-length design reduces deflection during light-to-moderate depth passes, making it a practical choice for detailed work on mold components, fixture plates, and precision mechanical parts. The bright uncoated finish keeps tooling costs low for general-purpose applications where a specialized coating is not required.

This end mill is installed by qualified machinists using an appropriate collet or end mill holder sized for the 1/8 inch straight shank. Confirm runout and tool projection before beginning a cut, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to deflection and can fracture under side load or excessive overhang. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Follow shop-specific speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and machine type.
