The SERVICE METAL 3mcplht.75 is a 3/4-inch Class 3000 forged carbon steel threaded half coupling designed for high-pressure piping systems where a female-threaded branch connection is required on pipe, vessels, or headers. Manufactured to ASME B16.11 standards and conforming to ASTM A105/ASME SA105 material specification, this fitting delivers the pressure integrity and dimensional consistency that industrial and mechanical piping work demands. The forged construction provides superior grain structure and strength compared to cast alternatives. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors working on high-pressure steam, gas, or liquid systems rely on this class of fitting for reliable, code-compliant branch connections.
This half coupling is suited for residential and commercial mechanical piping installations where a threaded half coupling connection is required. It is commonly installed on boiler piping, steam distribution systems, compressed gas lines, and high-pressure water systems. The Schedule 160 S rating makes it appropriate for elevated-pressure service applications. Both end connections are female threaded, conforming to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 pipe thread standards, allowing direct engagement with standard NPT male-threaded pipe ends or fittings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation threaded half coupling for 3/4-inch Class 3000 forged steel piping systems conforming to ASME B16.11.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or plumber in accordance with applicable mechanical and plumbing codes, including ASME B31 piping standards and local jurisdiction requirements. Depressurize and isolate the piping system completely before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly, and tighten to the fitting manufacturer and code-recommended engagement depth. Do not over-tighten threaded connections, as this can damage threads and compromise pressure integrity.
