The SECURITRON -U.S. M62D is a door position switch designed to monitor the open or closed state of a door in access control and magnetic lock systems. It provides a real-time status signal to the control panel or locking system, confirming whether the door is properly secured. Licensed electricians and low-voltage security technicians install this component as part of a complete electromagnetic locking assembly. The M62D is a direct-fit accessory for compatible SECURITRON magnetic lock installations and is sold as a single unit.
The M62D door position switch is used in commercial and institutional access control applications where door status monitoring is required. It is typically installed on doors fitted with electromagnetic locks to signal the controller when the door is ajar or fully closed. Common deployment locations include office entry points, server rooms, stairwells, and other controlled-access doorways where door state feedback is part of the security logic.
Designed as an OEM-style accessory for use with electromagnetic magnetic lock systems requiring door position monitoring.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or electrician in accordance with applicable NEC guidelines for access control wiring. Power to the magnetic lock system should be disconnected before installing or replacing the door position switch. Mount the switch per the door frame and door leaf alignment requirements to ensure reliable actuation. Verify all signal wiring connections are secure and that door position feedback is confirmed at the control panel before returning the system to service.
