The SECO 75051591 is a right-hand MWLN-style indexable boring bar designed for internal turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from steel, it accepts WNMG 332 trigon inserts held in place by a pin-and-clamp system, providing consistent insert location and rigid support during cut. The bar features a 1-1/4 inch shank diameter and a 14 inch overall length, giving machinists the reach needed for deeper bore applications. A negative rake geometry and a -5 degree lead angle are suited for controlled material removal in steel and other ferrous workpiece materials. This bar is sized for a 1.47 inch minimum bore diameter.
This boring bar is intended for turning applications where internal diameter finishing or roughing is required. It is commonly used in production machining environments and job shops running lathe work on steel, cast iron, and similar materials. The 3/8 inch insert inscribed circle and WNMG 332 insert compatibility make it a standard fit for facilities already running that insert family. The right-hand cutting direction suits conventional setups where the tool feeds from right to left. Licensed machinists and tooling specialists are the typical end users for this product.
Compatible with WNMG 332 trigon-shaped inserts using insert size code 33 and a 3/8 inch inscribed circle. Insert holding method is pin and clamp. No coolant-through capability.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret or tool post is locked out before changing inserts or mounting the boring bar. Torque the clamping pin to the insert manufacturer specification printed on the insert packaging. Confirm shank-to-turret bore clearance before mounting, as a 1-1/4 inch shank diameter is required.
