The SECO 74077377 is a solid carbide indexable drill insert designed for use in Perfomax series indexable drills. The insert carries the SPGX19C1 geometry with a T400D manufacturer grade and a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating for wear resistance and thermal stability across a broad range of workpiece materials. The square insert shape features a 90-degree included angle and an 11-degree relief angle, delivering positive cutting action with controlled chip formation via the C1 chipbreaker. The inscribed circle measures 0.75 inches (19.05 mm) with a thickness of 0.187 inches. This insert is sold individually but requires a minimum order of 10 units.
The 74077377 is suited for production drilling operations in general machining, aerospace, and metalworking environments where a universal-grade insert is needed across multiple material categories. The T400D grade and PVD coating support use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, nonferrous metals, superalloys, and high-temperature alloys. It seats into Perfomax series drill bodies and is intended for machinists and tooling specialists running indexable drilling programs on CNC lathes, machining centers, and similar machine tools.
Designed for use in SECO Perfomax series indexable drill bodies accepting SPGX-style inserts with insert size code 19 and a 0.75-inch inscribed circle.
Indexable drill insert replacement is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before accessing the drill body pocket. Use the correct torque wrench and insert screw specified by the drill body manufacturer when seating the insert — do not overtighten or substitute fasteners. Inspect the pocket seat and clamping screw for wear or damage before installing a new insert.
