The SECO 74068813 is a ball nose replaceable milling tip designed for use in the Minimaster MM08 tooling system. Manufactured from solid carbide with a TiAlN and TiN PVD coating, this tip provides wear resistance and thermal stability across a range of workpiece materials. It features a 0.315 inch cutting diameter, a 0.272 inch maximum depth of cut, and a 90-degree lead angle. The right-hand cut geometry and M03 chipbreaker are suited for controlled chip formation in finishing and semi-finishing operations. Licensed HVAC techs install furnaces; machinists and CNC operators install this tip in compatible Minimaster holders. Sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 2.
This milling tip is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines running Minimaster MM08 quick-change holders. It is appropriate for machining steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, and hard materials, corresponding to material grade designations P20, P30, M10, M20, and H10. The ball nose profile makes it suitable for contour milling, 3D profiling, and finishing passes where corner geometry and surface finish are critical. It does not include coolant-through capability, making it best suited for external coolant or minimum quantity lubrication setups.
Designed for use with Minimaster MM08 series quick-change milling holders. Insert size designation is 0.315-B90P. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, and hard materials (material codes P, M, N, H).
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Before changing the tip, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a vise or holder fixture. Use the appropriate Minimaster torque key to seat and lock the replaceable tip into the MM08 holder body. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's seating procedure to ensure full tip engagement before resuming cutting operations.
