It carries a 0.122-inch cutting width with a neutral lead angle and a 0-degree lead angle, making it suitable for straight plunge cutting with no directional bias. The HX manufacturer grade uncoated carbide construction falls under material grade C2, offering consistent performance on a broad range of workpiece materials. A 6-degree relief angle and a 0.008-inch corner radius complete the cutting geometry. Installation is by clamp-style insert holding, which is standard for the Series 150.10 toolholder family.
This insert is rated for universal primary workpiece material compatibility, meaning it performs across common metals encountered in general machining environments including steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous alloys. The Series 150.10 designation identifies the toolholder interface required for proper seating. Typical applications include cutoff work on production lathes in job shops and manufacturing facilities where consistent part separation and groove width accuracy are priorities.
