The SECO 74015255 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the manufacturer catalog designation 335.19-1103T-MD09 and grade T25M. It features a square shape with a 90-degree included angle, a neutral hand orientation, and a negative rake angle of 15 degrees. The insert is CVD-coated with TiCN for extended wear resistance in demanding cutting applications. Four cutting edges are available per insert, and the cutting edge style is T-Land with an MD09 chip breaker geometry. Thickness is 0.1063 inches and the inscribed circle measures 0.4331 inches. This insert is held in the cutter body by screw-type clamping and is designed for single-sided use.
This insert is intended for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, and S. Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician using the screw-clamping method specified for 335.19 series cutter bodies. The spindle and machine should be fully powered down and locked out before changing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer to seat the clamping screw to the recommended feel — do not overtighten. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for chips or debris before installing a new insert edge.
