The SECO 17014625 is a single-end cobalt roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it runs a 1-inch mill diameter and a 2-inch length of cut, with an overall length of 4.5 inches. The 3-flute geometry paired with a high helix, right-hand spiral flute design promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces during roughing passes. This tool is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry, and is suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals running manual or CNC milling equipment.
This end mill fits standard roughing operations in job shops, production machining environments, and maintenance shops. It is used on vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers where aggressive stock removal is the priority before a finishing pass. The 1-inch shank diameter matches the 1-inch cutter diameter, providing a straight-shank fit for collet or end mill holders. The RHC752 series designation places it in a well-established cobalt roughing line suited to ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Designed as an OEM-style roughing end mill for use in standard 1-inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style tool holders on vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out before tooling changes. Seat the shank fully in the holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the set screw or collet nut per the holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material.
