The SECO 17013561 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a TiCN coating, this tool handles difficult-to-machine materials while maintaining edge integrity under heat and pressure. It features a 1 inch mill diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 5.5 inch overall length. The high helix style and right-hand spiral flute geometry channel chips away from the cut zone efficiently. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry where needed. Licensed machinists and toolroom operators are the primary users of this end mill in production and job-shop environments.
This roughing end mill is suited for ferrous and non-ferrous milling applications in both manual and CNC machining centers. The 36-degree maximum helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces chatter during heavy roughing passes. The RHC752 series regular-length geometry fits standard tool holders and collet chucks with a 1 inch shank. It is a single-end tool, so both setup and replacement are straightforward when the cutting end reaches end of life.
Designed as an OEM-specification roughing end mill in the SECO RHC752 series, compatible with standard 1 inch collet chucks and end mill holders used in CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom professionals. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the 1 inch shank fully in the holder and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing a cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear and can cause premature tool failure.
