The SECO 17013184 is a corner chamfer end mill from the VFP635 series, built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel for demanding material removal in stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. The cutter measures 1.25 inches in diameter with a 2-inch length of cut and a 4.5-inch overall length. Four helical flutes with a super-close pitch and right-hand cutting direction provide aggressive stock removal with improved surface finish. The 45-degree chamfer at 0.0400 inches wide breaks the sharp corner on the workpiece edge. The bright uncoated finish makes it a solid choice where coating adhesion or regrinding convenience matters. This end mill is suited for roughing operations in demanding materials including stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the Weldon flat shank in a side-lock or set-screw holder, confirming the flat is fully engaged before tightening. Confirm spindle runout is within acceptable tolerance before starting the cut, as excess runout accelerates edge wear on cobalt tooling. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material grade.
