The SECO 17003830 is a solid carbide diamond pattern router bit designed for precision routing in advanced composite materials. With a 0.25 inch cutter diameter and a 0.75 inch length of cut, it handles tight-tolerance work in carbon fiber, graphite, composite laminates, and green ceramic. The drill point end type allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. A diamond coating over the solid carbide substrate extends tool life significantly in abrasive, hard-to-machine materials. Overall length is 2.5 inches with a 0.25 inch shank. Right-hand cutting direction. This bit is typically installed in CNC machining centers and high-speed routing spindles by machinists and composites fabricators.
This router bit is suited for industrial and aerospace-grade composites work where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are critical. Typical applications include trimming, contouring, and slotting operations on carbon fiber reinforced polymer panels, graphite components, and advanced ceramic workpieces. The diamond finish makes it appropriate for materials that rapidly wear uncoated carbide tooling. It is packaged individually and fits standard 0.25 inch collet systems.
Designed for use with CNC routers and machining centers equipped with a 0.25 inch collet or tool holder. Recommended for carbon fiber, composite, graphite, and green ceramic workpiece materials per material application codes H, K, M, N, P, and S.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before installing or removing the bit. Seat the shank fully in the collet to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Always verify spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material before starting the cut, as diamond-coated carbide tooling requires dry cutting conditions in most composite applications.
