The SECO 17003786 is a solid carbide ball end mill from the SB335 series, designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch) diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 35-degree helix angle suited for both roughing and finishing operations. The AlTiN PVD coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life. With three flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, this single-end mill is built for precision material removal in demanding shop environments. It is typically installed by machinists and CNC tooling professionals.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The short length type and 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. The centercutting geometry allows for plunge cuts as well as conventional and climb milling passes. The SB335 series targets applications where both surface finish quality and stock removal rate are priorities in a single tool.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide ball end mill replacement for applications in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials requiring a 7/32 inch diameter, 1/4 inch shank, and 3-flute geometry.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Ensure the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the collet or toolholder to within the runout tolerance of 0.0005 inch TIR maximum. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material before beginning the cut.
