The SECO 17002366 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built on the S938R series platform, it features a 3/4 inch diameter with a 0.1200 inch corner radius and nine flutes arranged in a super close pitch configuration. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting temperatures. With a 2.25 inch length of cut and a 5 inch overall length, this extended-reach tool is suited for deeper pocket milling and profile work where standard-length tools fall short. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals specify this end mill for roughing and finishing operations in a single setup.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines equipped with standard toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. It is engineered for right-hand cutting with right-hand flute direction and a 38 degree helix angle. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, and S. The extended reach geometry makes it suitable for deep-cavity milling, rib milling, and contoured surface work where axial depth and corner geometry are critical.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of chips before clamping to maintain runout within the specified TIR maximum of 0.0005 inch. Do not use this tool for plunge cuts, as it is a non-centercutting design. Confirm toolholder clamp torque and overhang length per the toolholder manufacturer guidelines before starting the cut.
