The SECO 17002339 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. The tool measures 0.5 inches in diameter with a 2-inch length of cut and a 4-inch overall length. A 0.0150-inch corner radius reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and improves surface finish on profiled features. Seven flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration with a 38-degree helix angle support both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life. This end mill is installed by machinists and tooling specialists on CNC machining centers using standard toolholders.
The 17002339 is designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium workpieces, covering material codes P, M, K, and S. Its close-pitch, seven-flute geometry suits applications where a fine surface finish and efficient chip evacuation are required simultaneously. The long-length configuration makes it well suited for profiling deeper features or walls where standard-length end mills cannot reach. It is a single-end design with a straight-cylindrical 0.5-inch shank, compatible with a wide range of standard toolholders used on vertical and horizontal machining centers.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before mounting or removing end mills. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the specified gauge-line depth and verify runout does not exceed the 0.0005-inch TIR maximum before cutting. Follow machine tool manufacturer and applicable shop safety protocols when programming feeds, speeds, and depths of cut for the workpiece material.
