The SECO 17002186 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/4 inch (0.7500 inch) mill diameter, a 0.0300 inch corner radius, and 3 right-hand spiral flutes with a 40-degree high helix angle. The end mill is center cutting and capable of both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. The bright/uncoated finish is well suited for non-ferrous workpiece materials where coating adhesion or heat transfer characteristics favor bare carbide. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production environments, and tool rooms are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill fits typical CNC machining center applications involving aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous metals. The AN340 series short-length geometry provides rigidity in standard toolholder setups. The 2-7/8 inch reach length and 0.7200 inch neck diameter allow access to moderate-depth features without excessive overhang. The single-end, straight-cylindrical shank interfaces directly with collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic toolholders commonly used in production milling.
Designed for use with standard collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic toolholders that accept a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials per the AN340 series application guidelines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool change procedure must follow the machine tool manufacturer lockout requirements before mounting or removing this end mill. Verify runout does not exceed the 0.0005 inch TIR maximum after installation in the toolholder. Do not use this end mill on ferrous materials, as it is rated for non-ferrous metal applications only.
