The SECO 17000065 is a solid carbide, single-end corner radius end mill designed for demanding metal removal in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It carries a 3/8-inch cutting diameter and a 0.0200-inch corner radius, with three right-hand spiral flutes and a 35-degree medium helix angle. The AlTiN PVD coating improves heat resistance and tool life in high-temperature cutting conditions. At 4 inches overall length with a 1/2-inch length of cut, this tool is built for both roughing and finishing passes in tight-tolerance machining environments. A Weldon flat shank seats securely in standard toolholders.
This end mill is suited for CNC milling operations in job shops, production machining, and toolroom environments where steel and difficult alloys are the primary workpiece materials. The Series SN335 designation places it in a line optimized for extended-reach applications, with a 2-1/8-inch reach length and a 0.3600-inch neck diameter that allows access to deeper features without sacrificing rigidity. It is centercutting, enabling plunge entry when the operation requires it. The coarse pitch and stub length classification make it well-suited for applications where chip evacuation and tool stability are priorities.
Designed for use with standard Weldon flat toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (material codes P, M, S, H). Part of the SECO SN335 series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is disabled before handling or changing end mills. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully into the toolholder and tighten the set screw against the flat to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout against the TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches before cutting to protect edge geometry and surface finish.
