The SECO 10268347 is a 4-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 0.75 inch mill diameter and a 1.5 inch length of cut, this single-end tool is built around a micrograin carbide substrate for edge retention and rigidity. The SIRON-A coating adds thermal and wear resistance, extending tool life in ferrous materials. A 30-degree helical flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces across a range of workpiece materials. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, tool rooms, and production facilities are the primary users of this end mill.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Its short-length classification and straight-cylindrical shank make it appropriate for rigid setups in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC milling operations. Center-cutting capability allows for plunge entry when required. It is not configured for extended reach or coolant-through delivery, so it is best used in setups where flood or mist coolant is applied externally.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide end mill for use in standard 0.75 inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and hydraulic chucks compatible with straight-cylindrical shanks. Primary workpiece materials listed by manufacturer are steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloy (ISO material codes P, M, K, S).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician with the machine powered down and the spindle locked before tool changes. Ensure the shank is fully seated in the holder to the minimum clamping depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer. Verify runout does not exceed the listed TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches after clamping. Do not exceed the tool's recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material; consult the SECO series C5141 cutting data for appropriate feeds and speeds.
