The SECO 10137393 is a slotted hydraulic chuck sleeve designed to adapt smaller-diameter tooling shanks for use in hydraulic chucks. The sleeve fits tools with a 0.5 inch (decimal) inside diameter and seats into a chuck bore with a 20.0 mm outside diameter and a 24.0 mm head diameter. At 50.5 mm in length under the head, it provides stable shank engagement for turning, milling, and boring operations. Machined from steel for durability under cutting loads, this sleeve is a standard component for shops running hydraulic toolholding systems where shank size reduction is required.
This sleeve is used in CNC machining centers and manual machine setups where a hydraulic chuck requires a reducing sleeve to grip a 0.5 inch shank tool. It is suited for production environments where consistent clamping force and runout control are priorities. The slotted sleeve design allows the hydraulic chuck membrane to compress evenly around the sleeve OD, transferring clamping pressure to the tool shank. No through-coolant feature is present on this sleeve, making it appropriate for dry or external coolant applications.
Designed for use with hydraulic chucks accepting a 20.0 mm OD reducing sleeve with a 24.0 mm head diameter, for gripping 0.5 inch shank tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the hydraulic chuck and machine spindle are fully depressurized and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the sleeve. Clean the sleeve OD and chuck bore thoroughly before assembly to prevent contamination from affecting clamping force or runout. Follow the chuck manufacturer torque and actuation specifications when engaging the hydraulic clamping mechanism.
