The SECO 10072630 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for roughing and finishing operations in a single pass. Built to Series S638 specifications, it features a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch decimal) cutting diameter with a 0.01 inch corner radius and six flutes arranged in a super close pitch, variable index configuration. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance for machining hardened steels and high-temp alloys. Right-hand cutting and flute direction with a 38-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation in demanding milling applications. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tool in precision production environments.
This end mill suits short-reach finishing and light roughing on hardened ferrous metals, stainless steels, and aerospace alloys where controlled surface finish and edge integrity are critical. The 3/16 inch length of cut and 0.3025 inch reach length make it well suited to shallow-pocket and contour work. The 1/4 inch straight shank accepts standard collet holders and shrink-fit tooling systems. The extended reach design allows access in confined features without tool interference.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/4 inch straight shank collet or shrink-fit holder.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully to the minimum insertion depth specified by the toolholder manufacturer and torque the collet nut or set screw per toolholder specifications. Inspect the collet and holder bore for wear or contamination before use; a worn collet will reduce runout performance and shorten tool life.
