The SECO 10023147 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. Built to the AN345R series standard, it features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 0.0100 inch corner radius, and three flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a high-helix geometry at 45 degrees. The ANF coating is applied via PVD process, providing wear resistance suited to aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. At 4 inches overall length with a 5/8 inch length of cut, this is a short-series, extended-reach tool. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills working non-ferrous metals. The centercutting design allows both plunge and peripheral cutting operations. The coarse pitch and high-helix flute geometry support both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool, reducing the need for multiple setups. It is compatible with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch shank diameter.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch cylindrical shank. Intended for machining non-ferrous metals as identified by material code N. Fits applications where the AN345R series geometry and ANF coating are specified.
Install and remove tooling only with the machine spindle fully stopped and power locked out per shop safety procedures. Ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of burrs before seating the tool. Verify runout does not exceed the 0.0005 inch TIR maximum after clamping. Consult the toolholder manufacturer's torque specifications for the collet or set-screw style used.
