The SECO 10023071 is a single-end, corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in non-ferrous metals. Built from solid carbide with an ANF PVD coating, it delivers durability and heat resistance in demanding cutting environments. The tool features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut (0.7500 inches), and a 3-inch overall length. The corner radius measures 0.1250 inches, helping to reduce stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extend tool life in both roughing and finishing operations. The 45-degree high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, making this end mill well-suited to high-speed machining setups.
This end mill is intended for use in non-ferrous metal applications, including aluminum, copper, and similar materials. It is a centercutting tool capable of plunge cutting, making it versatile across milling, slotting, and contouring operations. The coarse pitch, three-flute spiral geometry balances chip clearance with cutting stability. It is designed to mount in standard straight-cylindrical toolholders with a 1/2 inch shank diameter and is appropriate for both CNC machining centers and manual milling machines maintained by skilled machinists or toolroom professionals.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N). Part of the SECO Series A345R end mill line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before inserting or removing the end mill. Verify runout does not exceed the TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches after seating in the holder. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and facility safety guidelines for tool changes and cutting parameter setup.
